Overall, we really liked the Indigo and its location in Downtown Denver. In fact, the Wi-Fi was one of the best that I’ve found in a hotel. We never experienced any lagging or download issues, even at “peak” evening times. The hotel Wi-Fi was free (a plus!), easy to connect and robust. Housekeeping service was punctual and consistent. Aveda hair care and lotion products were provided. There is no bathtub, but the walk-in glass shower was large and had easy-to-operate fixtures. (However, the hotel provides free brewed coffee in the lobby, as well).īathroom was relatively small but was satisfactory for our purposes. There is a mini-fridge in the room, and Keurig coffee maker. Happy to report that the room included two free bottles of water that were restocked each day. Beds were comfortable and used duvet covers. We stayed in a corner room with “City view” of the downtown Denver skyline, Union Station and Coors Field. Rooms have a tasteful, urban design aesthetic with large windows. Although we did not drive a car, there was covered vehicle entry with valet service. Although relatively small, the hotel lobby is artfully decorated and has a small area to purchase snacks, drinks and toiletries. The hotel lobby is located at street level and is connected to a nice restaurant/pub, the “Hearth and Dram.” The restaurant bar was a great location for late evening drinks. The entire area is new, clean and relatively safe. Additionally, a Whole Foods grocery, several restaurants, service and several coffee shops are located within 2-3 blocks. It’s about a five minute walk from train/Union Station to the hotel entry.įor convenience, a CVS pharmacy is located directly across the street from the hotel. This provides easy access if you’re flying in/out of Denver and using the “A” line train to access the city. The property is situated a few hundred feet from the Union Station commuter/AMTRAK rail platforms. The hotel occupies five floors (5-8) of a recently constructed, mixed-use office building. We couldn’t have been happier with the location and property. I stayed at the Hotel Indigo with family for a long-weekend getaway in Denver. It always gets down to "would we stay here again"? In this case I would be fine with staying again if I had to, but will probably look for an alternative next time I'm in town. The slowdown seemed to be in the kitchen, as the server was working very hard and did an excellent job. We are not used to a hotel breakfast taking 45+ minutes. We had a complementary breakfast and found the food quite good, but the service on a Saturday morning was very slow. If this is part of "trendy", then let's get that trend over with!Īlso, be aware of the beautiful shower stall. This was very inconvenient for all but the first hanging item: then we had to constantly move things out of the space in order to reach items in the back. The main negative for us was the extremely small space (couldn't really call it a closet) for hanging clothes. Somewhat smaller than I expected, though. We were given a corner room that was very nicely appointed and clean, with a super comfortable bed. They were also helpful on several occasions throughout our stay. Valet parking costs less than paying directly in the parking structure, so keep that in mind.Ĭheck-in went perfectly, with two very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Parking is convenient, if expensive like most all downtown hotels. Having the train/lightrail station right across the street was great and we never noticed any noise related to that. Hotel Indigo has a wonderful location, convenient to so many restaurants and attractions in and near downtown Denver.
